William Vigeant “Billy”, 63, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013 at home. He was the beloved husband of Beverly J. (Pinto) Vigeant. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Armand and Marie (Ragosta) Vigeant.
Besides his wife of 36 years, “The love of his life”, he is survived by his brothers Armand and his wife Mary of Johnston and Anthony of Cranston; his sister Marie Wolfenden and her husband Hank of Cranston and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
William was a United States Navy Veteran and a graduate of Cranston West High School and Johnson and Wales. He worked at United Wire and as a bus driver for First Student, retiring in 2007.A member of Montaup Country Club, he was Public Links Champion in 1974 and 4- Ball State Champion in 1981. Besides Golfing, he loved gardening, fishing and riding his Harley with his wife, friends and family. He is being remembered as a kind gentleman who was always willing to lend a hand and was loved by everyone.
His funeral will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 9 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Burial with Military Honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
