VIVIAN A. TOSTE (ESPOSITO), 73, of Providence, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the loving wife of Joseph B. Toste for 36 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jennie (Nassa) Esposito.
Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Kathy Ritchie (Tim), Carolyn Light (Jeff) and Joseph Fillion (Ellen); seven step-children, Joseph Toste, Honore Meeneghan, Margurite Leffingwell, Mark Toste, Kathleen Hughes, Cheryl Ann Toste and John Toste and her brother, Richard Esposito. She was the sister of the late Ernest Esposito and Robert J. Esposito, Sr. She was known affectionately as "Mima" to her 19 grandchildren and 10 great grand children.
Vivian worked as a school bus driver for the City of Cranston for over 35 years, retiring in 2007. She was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Providence and an active member of the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling to Europe with her husband. Vivian will be sadly missed by all her were fortunate enough to know her.
Her funeral will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave., Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION Thursday 4 - 7 p.m.
