Theresa L. Rivera

Theresa Rivera, 91, formerly of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Hope Hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Rivera, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. Her generosity, kindness, and bright smile will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lydia (Lambert) LePain.

Theresa enjoyed hosting holiday parties and Sunday dinners, bringing friends and family together around her table. Before retiring, she worked as a food server at Providence College.

Theresa leaves behind two daughters, Diane Rivera-Moroney (husband Richard), and Cathy Roch (late husband, John). Also, her grandson, John Roch, (wife Melissa) and two great-grandchildren, John and Olivia. She was the sister of the late Gerald LePain, Rita Anderson, Jeanette Alves, and Cecil Ellis.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. A prayer service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
