Suze R. Desdunes

Suze R. Desdunes, 87, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Morinville Desdunes. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Alexandrine Remy.

Born in Pétion-Ville, Haiti. She left Haiti in 1957 to attend nursing school in Quebec, Canada. Upon her graduation from nursing school, she moved to New York City to begin her nursing career. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years before retiring from nursing in the late 80's. Also, in 1973, she opened a very successful hotel in Haiti.

Suze's goodness, her caring and wisdom lives on! The legacy of her Love will always be with us!

She is survived by her sons, Morinville Desdunes, Jr., Harold Desdunes, Robert Desdunes, Maxime Desdunes and Paul Desdunes; a daughter, Margaret Desdunes; Grandchildren, Pascal Desdunes, Alexandrine Desdunes, Gaelle Desdunes, Olivier Desdunes, Tatiana Desdunes, Francheska Desdunes and Tristan Desdunes ; nieces and nephews, Marie Michelle Remy, Surette Remy, Nicole Remy, Nadia Remy, Pierre Remy, Andrea Remy, Hans Remy, Martine Remy, Rachel Remy; her sisters in-laws, Andrea Remy and Monique Remy; her daughters-in-law, Judy Desdunes, Magda Desdunes, Ana Palma Desdunes and Cristina Vitiello-Desdunes; and all the other members of the Desdunes and Remy families.

She was the sister of the late Pierre and Emmanuel Remy.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
