Susan M.
Nassi
September 23, 1964 – March 4, 2026
Susan M. Nassi (Capracotta), 61, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Vincenzo L. Nassi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Stephen A. Capracotta and Maureen B. (Leyden) Capracotta.
A loving and devoted mother and sister, Susan is survived by her twin children, Vincenzo S. Nassi and Sofia L. Nassi. She was the sister of the late Stephen J. Capracotta (Lisa) and Sharon (Capracotta) Ciolli, wife of the late Anthony Ciolli. She was also a loving aunt and godmother to many nieces and one nephew, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.
Susan was not only a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and godmother, but also a deeply dedicated teacher. For 29 years, she taught at James L. McGuire Elementary School in North Providence, where she spent her entire career shaping the lives of her students. She brought knowledge, compassion, empathy, and unwavering dedication into her classroom each day, creating an environment where children felt safe, supported, and cared for.
Susan had a special ability to connect with her students and make each one feel valued. Even years later, her family continues to hear from former students who remember her kindness and the lasting impact she had on their lives. Through the countless children she taught over nearly three decades, Susan left a meaningful and lasting legacy at James L. McGuire Elementary School and within the North Providence community. Her children will continue that legacy through their service in education and the police force.
Above all else, Susan adored her two children. Being their mother was the role she cherished most, and she always made it a priority to support them, love them, and treasure the time they spent together. She celebrated their accomplishments, big or small, and took great pride and joy in doing so.
With her infectious smile and positive energy, Susan lifted the spirits of everyone around her. She brought warmth, laughter, and joy wherever she went, and her unforgettable sense of humor will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. Susan especially enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like relaxing by the pool in her backyard, soaking up the sun and enjoying peaceful moments at home.
