Steven G. Penta, 69, of North Providence, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026. Born in Providence, he was the son of Anthony Penta and the late Evelyn (Riccardi) Penta.

Steven was a talented hairstylist, who owned and operated his own salons in Florida and Rhode Island. He was also an accomplished runner and took great pride in having competed in the Boston Marathon numerous times.

He was beloved by many for his caring manner and humorous perspectives on life. 

In addition to his devoted father, Steven leaves behind his treasured son, Gabriel Penta, and Gabriel’s mother, Pamela Dickson; his siblings, Anthony Penta and his wife, Karen, and Jeanie Penta DiFante; and his longtime partner, Karen DiMeglio. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

In accordance with Steven’s wishes, his services and burial will be held privately.
