Stacey Shreve-Turner

October 22, 1967 — April 21, 2017

STACEY SHREVE-TURNER, 49, of Smithfield, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of John K. Turner.  Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Daniel Shreve MD, and the late Karen (O'Brien) Shreve.   Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her three daughters, Shannon, Colleen, and Erin Turner and their loving dog, Jett. She is also survived by her brother Andrew Shreve and his wife Melanie of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Also, her aunt Penny Edelstein and husband Marvin of Punta Gorda, FL and her uncle Frank Toye of Columbia, SC. Other family members include Daniel Shreve's wife Christine Shreve, mother-in-law Suzanne E. Turner, sister-in-law Suzanne M. Turner and many loving cousins and friends.     Stacey was a graduate of St. Dunstan's School in Providence and then she continued her education at the School of Medical and Secretarial Sciences. She worked for Dr. John Stoukides for 25 years alongside many friends and colleagues at Roger Williams Medical Center. She took pride in the care she gave to her patients and the relationships she built over the years.   Stacey was a thoughtful, vibrant, witty and gentle soul. Her three daughters always went to her for words of encouragement, wisdom and comfort. She loved country music, cooking, sunsets and hot days outside by the pool. She was the glue that held her family together.    Her Funeral will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence,  followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 21 Traverse St., Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stacey's memory may be made to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation 5526 West 13400 South #510, Salt Lake City, UT 84096 (cholangiocarcinoma.org) and The Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center, 2 Atlantic Boulevard, North Providence, RI 02911.
