Rosa M. Rivera, of Providence, RI, passed peacefully into eternal life on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.

She was the beloved and devoted daughter of the late Emilio and Maria Giuseppa (Di Nitto) Rivera and the dear and loving sister of Antonio Rivera.

Born in Sant’Ambrogio Sul Garigliano (Frosinone), Italy, she came to the United States in 1968 and worked at the Imperial Knife Company until its closing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., Providence. Entombment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Saints Peter & Paul Mausoleum, in Cranston.

A heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful people at Greenville Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield, who became Rosa’s family and caregivers for more than five years. We are also deeply grateful to the staff at The Miriam Hospital and HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, who cared for Rosa and assisted her as she crossed the finish line of her earthly journey.
