Ronald Guevin

September 23, 1942 — June 22, 2017

Ronald Guevin, 74, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at home. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Dennis and Emma (Boudreau) Guevin. Ronald worked in the accounting field for many years, achieving his MBA from Franklin Pierce College. He was a life long learner and enjoyed teaching in his spare time at local community colleges and adult education programs over the years. Ronald enjoyed social gatherings and hosting family and friends in his home. He enjoyed touring local attractions and sharing his discoveries with family and friends - affectionately known as Ronnie's weekend tours. He had a love for the mountains of Vermont as well as the coast of New England. Among his many hobbies he enjoyed photography, cooking, and was an avid philatelist. He collected thousands of stamps over his lifetime. On October 2, 1971 he wed Charlene Kemp. Their marriage resulted in divorce. They remained friends and enjoyed spending time with family. He is survived by his three daughters, Aimee L. Guevin of East Dummerston, VT, Michelle D. Guevin of Williamsville, VT and Sarah A. Guevin of Whitingham, VT; two sisters, Vivian, (Arthur) Drake of Plainville, MA and Diane, (Tom) Lavery of Mansfield, MA; and four grandchildren, Chelsea, (Bryan) Therrien, Jessica LaFlam, Ashley LaFlam and Trevor Magnant. A celebration of Ronald's Life will be held on Saturday, August 5th beginning at 10 a.m. with a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home located at 1381 Smith St. in North Providence.  A reception will follow the service at a nearby location to be determined.
