Ronald R. Giorgi

Ronald R. Giorgi, Sr., 71, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Vernancio) Giorgi for 52 years.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Mary (Rossi) Giorgi. Mr. Giorgi worked as a plating supervisor for many years before retiring.  He was an avid Boston Bruins fan. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Ronald R. Giorgi II and his wife Anna, Michael Giorgi and his wife Jeanette and Manny Giorgi; three brothers, Anthony Giorgi and his wife Lisa, Thomas Giorgi and his wife Paula and Joseph Giorgi and his wife Stacy; four sisters, Marie Desmarais and her husband Raymond, Loretta Albanesa and her husband Ernie, Debbie Kirinsky and her husband Thomas and Lori Stadelbauer and her husband Mark; ten grandchildren, Ronnie Giorgi III, Kevin Giorgi, Michaela Giorgi, Mikey Giorgi, Manny Giorgi Jr., Edmund, Jessica, Jennie, A.J. and Julie; and five great grandchildren, Ethan, Janessa, Amaya, Dominic and Caleb; three brothers in law, John, Manuel and Michael Vernancio and his wife Diane; a sister in law, Debbie Giorgi; his best friend, Ronald "Yogi" Ogle; and many neices and nephews.  He is also survived by his two Bichons, Rosey and Buddy and was predeceased by his beloved Sherry.  He was the brother of the late Michael Giorgi. Mr. Giorgi's funeral will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Ave., Providence.  Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visitation Sunday 4-7 p.m.
