Rita A. Olsen

Rita A. Olsen (D'Ambrosco), 85, of North Providence, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Fatima Hospistal surround by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Albert J. Olsen. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Bridget (Curto) D'Ambrosco. Rita was known for her baking, especially her pies and cookies. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family. Besides her husband of 64 years, she is survived by her sons, Albert P. Olsen, John S. Olsen and Robert P. Olsen; a sister, Julia Martin, and two grandchildren, Albert P. Olsen, Jr. and Zoë A. Olsen. She was the sister of the late Silvio, Peter and Ernest D'Ambrosco and Rose Corso. Visiting hours will be Friday, July 27, 2018 from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10a.m. In St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
