Richard C. Zuromski, 74, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, following a long and courageous battle with dementia. His passing reflects a life devoted to love, family, and the deep connections he cherished and nurtured.
Born in Pawtucket to Charles and Anna (Jaroszka) Zuromski, Richard built a life defined by dedication, warmth, and quiet strength.
For many years, he served as Director of Development for Dunkin’ Brands, where his work ethic and leadership left a lasting mark. Yet beyond his professional accomplishments, it was the roles he held closest to his heart as husband, father, grandfather, and brother, that truly defined him. He found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially fishing, biking, and spending time on his boat out on the lake.
Richard was a constant and devoted presence in his grandchildren’s lives, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer them on at sporting events, applaud them in plays, or watch with pride at their dance recitals. His support and encouragement meant the world to them.
He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved grand dogs, Watson and Elsa, whom he adored, visited and played with every day.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Lighthouse at Lincoln for their compassion, warmth, and the extraordinary care he received over the past year and in his final days.
For 52 years, Richard shared a beautiful partnership with his beloved wife, Antonette “Netty” (D’Andrea) Zuromski. Together, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. He was a proud and devoted father to his daughter, Jennifer Benell, and her husband William, and a deeply cherished grandfather to Christopher and Isabella, who brought him endless joy. He also shared a special lifelong bond with his identical twin brother, Robert, and Robert’s wife, Susan.
Richard’s life was also shaped by love and loss, including the passing of his son, Richard “Ricky” L. Zuromski, whom he carried always in his heart.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Richard’s life. His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, beginning at 8:45 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. He will be laid to rest at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 17, from 4 to 7 p.m.
