Rayna M Daley, 74 of Providence, Rhode Island passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Services will be held 11am; Feb 27th in the Historic Chapel at Swan Point Cemetery on Blackstone Boulevard, Providence RI.
She is survived by her son, Seth R. Daley of Providence; her cousin and sister in heart, Stephanie N Volino of Scituate; and loving relatives who remember her strength, warmth, and devotion to family.
Rayna grew up in North Providence with her parents Adelaide (Varone) and Raymond W. Monaco; later calling Providence’s Historic East Side home. After graduating from Classical High School in 1969, she earned her Master’s degree in Education from Leslie College and dedicated her career to early childhood education as a kindergarten teacher in the same town where she was raised, leaving a lasting imprint on generations of students and families.
Rayna had a natural gift for bringing people together. She loved entertaining family and friends while creating memorable gatherings filled with laughter, amazing food, and endless conversation. She also found joy in antiquing, traveling, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and cultivating beauty in the spaces around her.
Rayna was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Ted Scripsack.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in kind to the World Wildlife Federation at https://www.worldwildlife.org
