Michael E. Michaud, Sr., 73, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Cheryl (D’Amore) Michaud.
Originally from Fall River, he was the cherished son of the late Lenora (Joaquim) Michaud.
Michael dedicated many years of service to both Johnson & Wales University and the VA Medical Center before his retirement. He also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy, carrying a strong sense of honor, duty, and commitment throughout his life. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed spending time with his favorite companions, Pepper and Jake, who we know welcomed him to Heaven beside his wife Cheryl whom he missed very much.
He was a devoted father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his loving family. He is survived by his three children, Michael Michaud, Jr., Matthew Michaud, and Amanda Capobianco; his two cherished grandchildren, Kenneth Capobianco, Jr. and Evelina Capobianco; his father-in-law, Mario D’Amore, Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Mario D’Amore, Jr. He was the son-in-law of the late Claire D’Amore. He leaves behind many friends he’s met over the years and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
