Marie A Fairbrothers

Marie A. Fairbrothers (Purro), 86, of Cranston, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025 peacefully at home following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Robert E. “Bobby” Fairbrothers. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Santarella (DiScullio) Purro.

Marie received her nursing degree from the Community College of Rhode Island and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Certified Nurse’s Assistant. She was also a graduate of the Rhode Academy of Hairdressing.

She is survived by her loving son Robert E. Fairbrothers, Jr and his wife Ursula; three sisters, Gloria, Patsy and Angela; her grandchildren, Alexandra and Brooke; two great-grandchildren, Fallon and Madeline, and many nieces and nephews. She was the beloved mother of the late Richard A. Fairbrothers, Esq, and the sister of the late Luigi, Dorothea, Kathleen and Nancy.

Her funeral and burial will be private.
