Lori Napolitano, 60, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from complications following a recent fall. She was surrounded by loved ones and had faced multiple health challenges with remarkable courage throughout her life. Born in Providence, Lori was the beloved daughter of William “Nappy” Napolitano, Sr. and Jo-Ann (DeAngelis) Napolitano.
Lori dedicated many years of service to the City of Providence before her retirement. She will be remembered for her generous heart, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness. Despite facing ongoing illness, she never complained and continued to offer love and support to those around her. Lori had a passion for travel and a deep love for animals, both of which brought her great joy throughout her life. She earned an Associate Degree in Science from CCRI and a degree from the Boston Travel School.
She is survived by her loving parents, William Sr. and Jo-Ann; her brothers, William Napolitano, Jr. and his companion, China and Keith Napolitano and his wife Shellie; her cherished nephews, Jayce and Justin Napolitano; her treasured niece, Mia Bissell; as well as her great-niece, Brielle and her soon-to-be-born great-niece, Freya. She also leaves behind her faithful feline companion, Baby Monster, who brought her comfort and companionship.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend Lori’s funeral on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Interment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lori’s name may be made to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA), 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886.
