Kathleen (Wyatt) Proto, 65, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Agnes (Smith) Wyatt.
Kathy was a graduate of Smithfield High School and worked at A.T. Cross Pen Company in the late 70's and early 80's.
She was especially happy to be home with her children, Donald, Vanessa and Derek. Kathy was a stay-at-home mom and caregiver for her son Donald. She gave her life to care for him and was courageous and tireless in her role as a mom to each of her children. Her love and affection for Donald was immeasurable. Kathy's passing is a great loss to the entire family.
A loving and devoted mom, she is survived by her three children, Donald, Vanessa and Derek Proto; and her brothers, Wesley "Pat" Wyatt and his wife Donna and Floyd "TY" Wyatt. She was the sister of the late Michael and Richard Wyatt.
Kathy's funeral and burial will be private.
