Kathleen M. Gallo

Kathleen Marie Gallo (Ricci), 65, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was the beloved wife of Robert T. Gallo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Palma (Bergantino) Ricci. A member of the Johnston School Department for 19 years, she was a Special Education Teacher aide at S.D. Barnes Elementary. She loved her work family just as much as her own. She was a fiercely loyal wife and mother. Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Amanda Gallo; her sister, Annette Ricci Lanni, and three nieces, Brenna Russo-Pires, Lori Lanni Bogle and Lisa Lanni Mainelli. She was the sister of the late Judy Ricci Iafrate. Her funeral will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to the St. Robert Bellarmine Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Ave, Johnston, RI 02919.
