Katharine McIntyre

Katharine (McGovern) McIntyre, 91, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at home.  She was the wife of the late Allan P. McIntyre, Jr.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Georgiana (Nugent) McGovern.   Mrs. McIntyre worked as a pharmacy technician for Douglas Drug for many years before retiring.  She was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.   A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her four devoted children, Richard P. McIntyre and his wife Deborah Barber, Mark E. McIntyre and his wife Tanya, Kevin M. McIntyre and his wife Doreen and Deborah McIntyre Hughes and her husband Michael; a brother, Bernard McGovern; 6 cherished grandchildren, Sean and Shannon McIntyre, Paul and Thomas Hughes and Dylan and Aidan McIntyre; and 3 treasured great grandchildren, Colin, Cora and Katharine.   Her funeral will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St....
