Julie-An Campbell

April 12, 1973 — June 8, 2017

Julie-An Campbell, "Jules" to those who knew her best, 44, of Smithfield left to be with Our Lord on June 8, 2017 while at home surrounded by her loving family.  She is truly the Angel now that she was on this Earth to all those who crossed her path.  Julie-An was the daughter of Dave and Janice (Bolduc) Campbell.  Born in Providence, Julie-An moved to North Providence and eventually to Smithfield.  She attended Riverside Jr. High School in East Providence.  Besides her parents, Julie-An is survived by her brother David Campbell Jr. and sister in law Merry Pelequin of North Smithfield, her uncle BR and auntie Jo Ann of Florida and uncle Bobby and aunt Danielle of Warwick, several great aunts and uncles and many cousins. Overcoming many challenges, Julie-An while in school participated in Special Olympics winning numerous medals.  She was the poster child for United Way in 1978.  Julie-An epitomized what courage and determination was all about.  Her spirit shined on everything she put her mind to.  Later in her young life, Julie-An could be found socializing among her friends at Generations in North Providence and more recently in Smithfield.  This became Julie-An's extended family.  Her joy and love of life was contagious.  She will be greatly missed by her girlfriends at Generations. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence.  Burial will be at the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Julie-An's name to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI  02904 will be appreciated.
