Joyce D. Piscione

Joyce D. Piscione, 83, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at Golden Crest Nursing Centre, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Anibal and Mary (Joseph) August.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Lynn A. Maceroni and her husband, Robert, of North Providence, and Kimberly A. Piscione of Las Vegas, Nevada; her sister, Paulette Lamphere of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Michael Maceroni and Nicole DiRenzo and her husband, Corey; her great-granddaughter, Sophia DiRenzo; and her niece Danielle Halstuch. Her family brought her immeasurable happiness and joy throughout her life.

For many years, Joyce worked as a bookkeeper for Santoro Oil before retiring.

Joyce lived a quiet and fulfilling life. She found great enjoyment in reading and watching classic movies. A remarkably talented knitter, she lovingly created quilts, sweaters, and many other cherished items for her family and friends. Joyce also had a lifelong love of cats, who were her devoted companions for many years.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joyce’s memory may be made to HopeHealth Hospice or the Providence Animal Rescue League.
