Joseph Teolis, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (Bozzi) Teolis and the father of the late Ronald Teolis. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guiseppe and Gustina (Nortarpippo) Teolis. Mr. Teolis worked as a maintenance supervisor for various NSG Facilities. He never gave up his barbering skills. Apprenticing at age 14, the last haircuts he gave were only 4 weeks prior to his death. He retired at the age of 91. A Navy Veteran of World War II, Mr. Teolis served as chief petty officer in several Pacific Battles on the USS Rocky Mount. Besides his wife of almost 70 years he is survived by his devoted daughter, Lucille (Teolis) Anjoorian; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Nellie Folco, William, Anthony, Ernest, Alfred and Domenic Teolis. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence.
