Joseph C. Martino

Joseph C. Martino, 89, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Roger Williams Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Ciliberto) Martino for 67 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Guiseppi and Alfonsina (Spina) Martino. Mr. Martino worked for Sears as a carpet and flooring installer for many years before retiring. He had also worked as a landscaper at Warwick Country Club. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the Elks Lodge #14 in Warwick. Besides his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Joseph J. Martino and his wife Roberta E., Anthony A. Martino and his wife Cheryl L. and Paul C. Martino and his wife Cheryl F.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Michael A. Martino and was predeceased by many siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service with Military Honors on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 12 noon in St. Ann Cemetery Chapel, 73 Church St., Cranston.
