John M. Mansolillo, 69, of North Providence, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marlene M. (Ceseretti) Mansolillo for over 45 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicholas W. and Adeline A. (Marcello) Mansolillo.
John worked in the Supply and Repair Division of the Providence Fire Department for many years, before retiring. He had also worked for Imondi Florist. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
John was a vibrant man who loved to have fun, and enjoyed many friendships over the years. He was often described by people by having an “infectious smile”. John passionately loved the New York Yankees, the Providence Friars, and Italy, which he was able to travel to two times in the last 15 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Jared G. Mansolillo and Marissa G. Mansolillo and her fiancé Justin Andreozzi; three brothers, Robert N. Mansolillo (Nancy), Nicholas W. Mansolillo, and James P. Mansolillo (Lauren). He was the brother of the late Charles R. Mansolillo, Esq.
His funeral will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 9am from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4pm until 7pm at Maceroni Funeral Home.
