Joan M. Murphy

Joan (Robertson) Murphy, 78, of Cranston, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Raymond Murphy for 58 years.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Robertson. Joan worked as a CNA for the Village at Waterman Lake and Zambarano Hospital before retiring.  She was a member and former state coordinator for the Rhode Island 4-H Club Equine Division.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her husband she is survived by her three children, Kellee Catanzaro and her husband Hank Catanzaro Jr., Robert Murphy and his wife Mary Jane and Raymond Murphy and his wife Mary; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4 - 7 p.m. followed by a service at 7 p.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence.  Burial will be private.
