Joan Mary Ferland

Joan Mary (McGowan) Ferland, 75, passed away peacefully May 24th, 2017 at home. She was born June 12th, 1941 in Providence RI, the daughter of James McGowan and Mary Eva Ducharme McGowan. She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Lord of Providence RI, son, Joseph Ferland of Illinois, son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Kristian Ferland of Johnston RI, daughter Michelle Ferland Smith of Hemingway SC; sixteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Sandra McGowan. Joan's life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12th, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. Raymond's Church, 1240 N. Main St., Providence, RI 02904.  Visitation will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Church Foyer.  Burial will be private.
