Jennifer Goulet, 55, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Jen was the beloved wife of Michael Goulet for 27 wonderful years, sharing a life filled with love and enduring commitment. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of Robert Cavallaro and Michelle Brousseau. Above all else, Jen was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time with her family. She took immense pride in her role as a mother to her boys, Connor, Noah, and Aidan, and found her greatest joy in the moments they shared together.
She is also survived by her loving parents and her sisters, Annalee Cavallaro and Dr. Alexandra Cavallaro. She was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Cavallaro.
Jen, known in the figure skating world as “Lola Goulet” for her signature big sunglasses, flowing curls, and fashionable scarves, brought style, sparkle, and joy wherever she went. She had a vibrant personality, a love of all things pink and bling, and a fondness for apple martinis, but most of all, she will be remembered for her generosity, warmth, and deep love for her friends and family.
A passionate member of the figure skating community, Jen dedicated many years to the sport she loved. She was a member of the Yarmouth Ice Club on Cape Cod and later the Hayden Recreation Centre Figure Skating Club in Lexington, Massachusetts. Widely respected for her fairness and expertise, she served as a National Showcase Judge and Referee, Sectional Singles and Pairs Judge and Referee, and Gold-level test judge.
Jen was also a committed leader and volunteer, serving as Vice President and Secretary of the New England Interclub Council and as Eastern Sanction Officer for U.S. Figure Skating. As Chief Referee for numerous competitions, she was a steady and trusted presence, mentoring others and leaving a lasting impact on the skating community.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence. Jen’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth Street, North Providence. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jen’s memory may be made to the New England Inter-Club Council, which will honor Jen’s incredible impact on the sport through the creation of an annual scholarship in her name, to be awarded to a deserving skater. Jen’s creativity, passion, and leadership—along with the joy she brought to every arena—were truly unmatched. She inspired athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers alike through her expertise, dedication, and deep love of skating.
