Jane E. McCarthy
December 1, 1964 — July 13, 2023
Jane E. McCarthy, 58, formerly of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was the daughter of Jeannette McCarthy (Martel) and the late Walter McCarthy and the partner of John Woods for the last 25 years.
Jane is survived by her sister June Lloyd, her brother Ken McCarthy and his wife Dawn, her sister Judy Williams and her husband Bruce and many nieces and nephews. She was the stepmother to Matthew Woods, Jason Woods and the late Shawn Woods and grandmother to Cameron Woods and Dillon Woods.
Jane was a longtime resident of Warwick before recently moving to FL. She was employed as a dental billing administrator until her health prevented her from continuing with her career.
Jane had a big personality and had the ability to make everyone laugh. She loved the ocean and if she was not able to get to the beach in the summer, you could find her lounging in a little pool in her backyard. Jane enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her sweet dog, Dixie, who she just recently adopted. She especially cherished the time she spent with her grandsons, Cameron and Dillon.
Jane was the biggest Bruce Springsteen fan and whenever we hear one of his songs, we will think of her. Sadly, Jane left us too soon. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30am at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston. Burial will be private.
