IDA SORRENTINO (PALMIERI), formerly of Providence, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2006, at Mansion Nursing Home in Central Falls. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Sorrentino. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rose (Lauro) Palmieri.
Ida is survived by a brother, Fred Palmieri and his wife Marie; a niece, Ann Tamboe; a nephew, Louis Palmieri and several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Madeline Capasso and the aunt of the late Ronald Capasso and Paul Palmieri.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday at 10am in Holy Ghost Church, Knight St., Providence. Visiting hours respectfully omitted. Burial will be private.
