Guido H. Nofi, 87, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Providence, Guido was the beloved son of the late Salvatore and Assunta (Santopadre) Nofi. He was the devoted husband of Helen (Faiola) Nofi and a proud, loving father to his daughters, Elizabeth (Nofi) Medeiros and Susanne (Nofi) Perrino, and son-in-law, Robert J. Perrino.
Guido is also survived by his dear brother, Anthony S. Nofi; his cherished grandchildren, Robert J. Perrino Jr. and his wife, Kristin L. Perrino, and Elizabeth A. (Perrino) Lyden and her husband John R. Lyden III; and his adored great grandchildren, Maxwell, Bennett, Sullivan Perrino and Jack Lyden, who brought him immense joy. He was lovingly reunited with his sister, Marie L. Nofi.
Guido worked as a carpenter for Amtrak from 1976 to 2000. His love for carpentry extended throughout his life, and creating beautiful pieces was both his profession and his lifelong hobby.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral which will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Guido’s memory may be made to Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
