Gina Valente

Gina E. Valente, 87, formerly of North Providence, passed away on Friday August 1, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital Jane Brown Unit, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late David R. Valente. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Francisco and Raffaela (Riccardi) Rivera.

She was a supervisor in the jewelry industry for many years before retiring.

Gina leaves two sons, David J. Valente and Thomas F. Valente, three grandchildren, Julianne Violante, Michael Valente and Stephanie Gleick, three great-grandchildren, Liana Valente and Adalynn Valente and Cole Gleick. She was the sister of the late Carmine Rivera, Frank Rivera, Anna Pirri, Lena Campbell and Annie McDonough.

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning, August 7, 2025, from 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Mary Mother of Mankind Church, 25 Fourth St., North Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gina’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
