Gilda Gemma

Gilda (Vigliotti) Gemma, 99, of North Providence, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Golden Crest Nursing Centre.  She was the wife of the late Victor A. Gemma.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Margherita (Palmieri) Vigliotti.  A loving and dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother she is survived by her two sons, Edward A. Gemma and his wife, Jill and William R. Gemma; a sister, Anna Machado; 3 grandchildren, Eddy, Lori and Robert Gemma; 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Melba Ryan, Louis, John, Ida and Clair Vigliotti. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence.  Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  Visitation Tuesday 4 - 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Gemma's memory may be made to: Fruit Hill Day Services for Elderly, 399 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, RI  02911.
