Frederick Gasbarro

Frederick A. Gasbarro, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mildred (Binns) Gasbarro.

Fred served on the Providence Police Department from 1967-1987, retiring as a Juvenile Detective and held various positions with the State of Florida from 1989 to 2006, including the Juvenile Justice Department.

He is survived by his three children, Lynne Porreca (Bruno), Scott Gasbarro (Mary) and Steven Gasbarro; six grandchildren, Chelsea (Porreca) Faella, Caitlin (Porreca) Gendreau, Jacob and Joseph Gasbarro and Talia and Briana Gasbarro; his great-grandchild, Zoey; and his nephew, Richard Gasbarro (Melanie). He is also survived by his former wife, Andrea Crosby. He was the brother of Robert Gasbarro (Elise) and the late Alan Gasbarro (Laurie).

In accordance with his wishes, Fred’s funeral and burial will be private.
