Frances L. Martin, 83, formerly of Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Roland J. Martin. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Frances (Cannao) Riccitelli.
Frances was an Insurance Underwriter for MetLife Insurance Company for many years before retiring to care for her mother. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, TV crime shows, and Providence. Frances was a cancer survivor. She was an extremely kind person who was great at telling a joke. Frances was a fighter until her very last breath.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, she is survived by her two daughters, Denise and Jacqueline; her brother, Robert J. Riccitelli; nine grandchildren Jennifer, Brittany, Christopher, Lauren, Matthew, Victoria, Gina, Nicole, and Rebecca and two great-grandchildren Aedyn and Owen. She was the sister of the late Ronald V. Riccitelli, Sr.
In accordance with Frances’ wishes, her funeral and burial will be private.
