Florence G. Mackin (Butterworth), 92, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Mackin, Sr. Florence was born in Uxbridge, Massachusetts and was the daughter of the late William and Harriet (Harrington) Butterworth.
Florence is survived by her family; Mary Nech, Joan Allen, Patricia Newsham, Lolita and Robert Lorimer, Richard and Shirley Mackin, Peter Mackin, Ann Mackin, Kathleen and Richard Sullivan, John J. Mackin, Jr. and Dana Mackin, Eileen and Edmund Calcagni, and predeceased by Barbara Fraielli, Charles Mackin, Margaret Harrington and Jeanne Harrington.
She is survived by her brother Raymond Butterworth and predeceased by brothers; William, James and John Butterworth. She was the loving grandmother of 46 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Florence’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence.
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-8 PM at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence, RI. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston, RI.
