Florence M. DiResto (Devillez), 83, of North Providence, passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at Cortland Place in Greenville. She was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel “Bob” DiResto. Born in Brooklyn, CT, she was the daughter of the late Leon R., Sr. and Delia (Rondia) Devillez.
Florence had been a seamstress for over 20 years before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She leaves three sons, Tony, David and Steven J. DiResto; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Carol Ann DiResto and the sister of the late Henry, Arthur, Leon and Emile Devillez and Jeanette Wilcox.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8 a.m., from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave., North Providence. Visiting hours Tuesday 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, c/o Light House Foundation, One Catamore Blvd., East Providence, RI 02914.
