Evelyn A. Brousseau

June 9, 1925 — October 20, 2023

Evelyn A. Brousseau, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Arthur E. Brousseau, Sr.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Rossi) Vinacco.
 
Evelyn loved cooking Italian dishes from her eggplant and lasagna to her rice pie and ricotta pies for Easter. Her Christmas cookie trays were always a big hit and enjoyed by many as well as her delicious wine biscuits.  She was a lover of Elvis Presley songs and country music as well as line dancing.  Evelyn was always up for a card game and enjoyed playing with her family.  She worked her entire life in the jewelry industry and finished her career with Curtis Jewelry before retiring at the age of 85. Evelyn was a devoted catholic whose faith was very important to her and she enjoyed going to mass every Saturday.
 
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by her two sons, Wayne Brousseau and his wife Karen and Arthur E. Brousseau, Jr; four grandchildren, Melissa Constant and her husband Brian, Art Brousseau III, Jamie Brousseau and his wife Janet, and Tammy Beland and her husband Jay; ten great-grandchildren, Landon, Beckett, Aria and Cora Constant, AJ Brousseau, Ava Brousseau, Jennifer Savicki, Danny Brousseau, William Rickett IV, and Christopher Rickett; and her great-great granddaughter, Amelia.  She was the great-grandmother of the late Cadence Ann Constant and the sister of the late Joseph, William, Arthur and Peter Vinacco, Doris Simas, Beatrice Tetreault, Anna Zito, Mary Stravato, Connie Ehrl, and Hope Sherman.
 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m.  Evelyn’s funeral will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 964 Main St., Pawtucket, RI  02860.
