Dolores C. (DeRobbio) Iasimone, 87, of North Providence passed away peacefully on May 23, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony E. Iasimone. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Josephine (Box) DeRobbio.
A loving and cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her children, Debora Lepore and her husband James of Smithfield, Anthony E. Iasimone, Jr. of Cranston, Lorraine Suzman of North Providence and Carmine Iasimone and his late wife Lisa of Lincoln; a sister, Lucy Coppolino; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Carmino DeRobbio, Angelo DeRobbio, Rose DiChiaro, Mary Supino, Josephine Rotondo, Viola Zannelli and Anna Picozzi.
Dolores dedicated most of her life as a wife to Anthony, homemaker and loving mother to her four children. She enjoyed cooking wonderful Italian meals, Sunday drives, musicals and shopping. She always looked forward to spending time with family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In recent years, one of her favorite activities was attending the Fruit Hill Adult Day Services Center where she displayed her artistic creativity and made new friends. Dolores was always known as a beautiful, sweet, kind, generous and considerate woman. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held Saturday Morning, May 27, 2017 from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight St., Providence.
