Dennis M. Gagne, 82, of North Providence, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Annette M. (Podvin) Gagne, with whom he shared thirty-six devoted years of marriage.
Born in Pawtucket, Dennis was the son of the late Adrian and Mary Eva (Peacock) Gagne.
A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dennis leaves behind his beloved wife, Annette; his children, Michelle Miner and Dennis Gagne Jr.; his grandchildren, Kirsten, Shawn, and Madison; and his great-grandchildren, Carter, Aleya, and Bryson. He was predeceased by his parents.
Dennis worked for many years as a Navy sheet metal technician before his retirement. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career.
Outside of work, Dennis found great enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid model railroad enthusiast who also enjoyed photography and spending hours listening to his favorite music. He especially loved taking leisurely drives through the countryside, appreciating the beauty of the changing seasons and the peaceful charm of rural landscapes. Above all, Dennis treasured time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories with those he loved most. He cherished every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by his love, kindness, and presence.
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. A longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), he cherished the friendships, camaraderie, and shared experiences that grew from his service and continued through his involvement in the veteran community.
He will be remembered for his warm spirit, his love of family and friends, and his appreciation for life's everyday moments.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith Street, North Providence.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be private.
