Catherine Perrotti

April 9, 1929 — May 29, 2018

Catherine Perrotti, 89, of Providence, passed away at Landmark Hospital on May 29, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Louise (Laquaglia) Perrotti. She is survived by her brothers Anthony "Chuck" Perrotti and Frank Perrotti, and many loving nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Helen (Perrotti) Lonardo. A lifelong residence of Providence, Catherine retired as Director of Religious Education in the diocese of Providence, having served for 18 years. Previously, she was a service representative instructor for New England Telephone for 15 years. Catherine graduated from Providence College and was a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic. She was a lector and extraordinary Eucharistic Minister at St. Pius V. Catholic Church. She was currently serving as Vice President and Treasurer of Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic, served as President for several terms, and was a Lay Dominican for 63 years. Catherine will be remembered as a caring and compassionate daughter, sister and aunt who was always there to provide support and comfort to family, friends and parishioners in times of need. Her funeral will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. from MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m in St. Thomas Aquinas Priory on the Providence College Campus, One Cunningham Square, Providence.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemtery, Cranston.  Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers donations in Catherine's memory may be made to: The Lay Fraternity of St. Domenic, c/o Ann Rotondi, 39 Amory St., Providence, RI  02904.  maceroni.com
