Carmela Buontempo

Carmela A. Buontempo, 92, of North Providence, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Apri1 13, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Joseph T. Buontempo for 69 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Paolino) D'Agostino.

Carmela worked alongside her father at Eagle Laundry, prior to becoming a teacher at the Holy Ghost Daycare for many years before retiring.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Joseph T. Buontempo Jr. and his wife Berit and Mark A. Buontempo; and three grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Jessica. She was the sister of the late Fred D'Agostino.

Visitation will be held Tuesday Morning, April 18, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave., Providence. Interment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
