Bessie L. Quaranto

Bessie L. (Giordano) Quaranto, 95, of Johnston, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Henry A. Quaranto for 66 years.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Luisa (Angelio) Giordano. Bessie loved cooking, baking, sewing and entertaining.  She was dedicated to her family and friends her whole life. She is survived by her son, Richard A. Quaranto and his wife Jung Hee of North Providence; her daughters, Linda L. Faella and her husband Paul of North Providence and Donna Scucces and her husband Peter of Johnston; 3 grandchildren, Natalie C. Faella, Peter Scucces and Michael Scucces; 3 great-grandchildren, Katie, Matthew and Michael Scucces; a brother, Joseph Giordano; and a sister, Barbara Piccirilli.  She was the sister of the late Ernest and Bruno Giordano. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence.  Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.  Visitation Sunday 5 - 7 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Bessie's memory may be made to: Cherry Hill Manor, 2 Cherry Hill Rd., Johnston, RI  02919.
