Barbara A. Florio

Barbara (Corlito) Florio, 73, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital.  Born in Chelsea, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Jessie (Whitcomb) Corlito.   Barbara was a dedicated and hardworking CNA for several home care agencies before retiring.  A devout catholic, she prayed the rosary faithfully everyday.     A loving and devoted mother she is survived by her daughter, Christine Florio; a son, Michael Florio; and two sisters, Dolores McKenzie and Rosemary Florio.  She was the mother of the late Frank A. Florio, Jr. and the sister of the late Eugene Corlito, Angelo Corlito, Virginia Petelle, Patricia Newberry and Cora Prisco.   Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a prayer service at 12 noon in the MACERONI FUNERAL HOME, 1381 Smith St., North Providence.  Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Burrillville.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI  02886.
