Barbara Ciolfi

Barbara A. Ciolfi, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Lincolnwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, North Providence. She was the wife of the late Henry A. Ciolfi. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late James F. and Anna (Rogers) McGinn.

She was a telephone operator for the Verizon Phone Company for twenty-three years before retiring. After her retirement she worked as a school bus monitor.

Barbara is survived by a daughter Carol A. Peltier, a sister, Patricia McGinn Silvestri, two brothers John McGinn and Joseph McGinn, two granddaughters, Emily R. Peltier and Nicole E. Peltier. She was the sister of the late Ann R. Paul, James F. McGinn and Robert E. McGinn. 

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 9AM, from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow St., Providence, RI 02903.
