Anthony D. Paglia, 78, of Lincoln, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Young) Paglia for 56 years.
Born in Providence, Anthony was the son of Lucy (Morena) Paglia and the late Costanzo "Gus" Paglia. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Marie Paglia.
Anthony leaves behind his son David Paglia and grandson Anthony Michael Paglia; and his daughter Melissa Paglia and her fiancé, Christopher Izzi, and grandson Tristan Anthony Melo.
Anthony was a self-employed General Contractor in the construction industry for over 60 years. Known for his resilience, he was built tough and ran tough.
Growing up in Providence’s Federal Hill neighborhood, Anthony was the life of the party—funny, jovial, and a great storyteller, who was cherished by many friends. He had a strong interest in history, enjoyed sports cars, and was a long-time member of the Sportscar Vintage Race Association (SVRA). He had a great passion for cooking fine cuisine for his family, and an affection for animals, including the family's sixth Airedale, Oliver, and his seventh granddog, Airedale Molly. Above all, he was a devoted family man who truly loved his Wife, Children, Grandsons, Mother, and Sister.
The funeral and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
