2Anthony Donfrancesco, 91, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully, Thursday, October 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was a loving husband to the late Concetta “Connie” (Procaccini) Donfrancesco for 67 years. He was the son of the late Antonio and Adeline (DiStefano) Donfrancesco.
Anthony deeply cherished his family, with a special love for his grandchildren and great-granddaughter. He found great joy in traveling - whether journeying in the motor home with his family or visiting Italy with his wife and dear friends, where he reconnected with extended family and embraced the cultures and language of his native country.
Anthony was also a proud veteran serving his country towards the end of the Korean War. Following his service in the Army, he and his beloved wife settled in North Providence, where they built a home and lovingly raised their five children. Outside of his time with family, Anthony worked alongside his father before eventually taking over Mason Contracting Company. There are few towns across Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts that he could pass through without proudly pointing out buildings that he constructed. His other commercial interests included Managing Partner for NorthView Realty and owner of Ribs & Company in Johnston, RI.
Anthony is survived by his daughters, Susan Pilkington and her husband John, Karen Ciotti and her husband William and Leslie Donfrancesco-St. Jean and her husband Greg; his sons, Michael Donfrancesco and his wife Lori, and Mark Donfrancesco and his wife Andrea; a sister, Anne Maccarone; seven adoring grandchildren, John, James, Hannah, Julia, Marcus, Lucas and Daniela, and a great-granddaughter, Lydia Adeline. He was the brother of the late Mary Jones and Carol Tarro.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 10 AM, at St. Jude Church, 301 Front St, Lincoln. His burial will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
