Mr. Costantino was the first in his family to graduate from college and spent his entire career as an accountant, most recently as the finance director at the Narragansett Bay Commission before retiring. He also served in the Army National Guard.
Anthony was a kind, loving, and gentle man with a fierce sense of humor. He was an avid golfer and a loyal New England sports fan. He loved hunting for mushrooms, traveling, and playing poker.
Anthony was happiest when surrounded by his family. He was proud of his four children, adored his two granddaughters, and most of all, the love of his life, his wife. They met when they were 15 years old and grew up and grew old together.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Joanne Costantino, and her wife Maureen Costantino; two sons, Anthony P. Costantino, and his wife Katherine, and Richard M. Costantino, and his wife Lucia; one sister Verna Nani, two grandchildren, Isabella Costantino and Hannah Costantino. He was the father of the late David E. Costantino.
His funeral will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. Visitation Thursday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Anthony’s memory may be made to the Hope Alzheimer’s Center, 25 Brayton Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
