Anthony M. “Mike” Catauro, 90, of Providence, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Gianquitti) Catauro. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Vincent and Teresa (Mangione) Catauro.
Mike was co-owner and operator of Quality Beef. He was a professional saltwater fisherman and a member of the Ocean State Chorus.
He leaves his son, Michael V. Catauro; his sister, Angelina “Lena” Catauro and many nephews. He was the brother of the late Vincent “Jimmy” Catauro, Mary Amoroso, Elvira Coletta, Lucy Catauro, Elena Catauro and Anna Catauro.
Visitation Tuesday morning, April 9, 2013 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church, 639 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to The Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
