Angela M. Crete, 96, of Providence, passed away on Wednesday December 3, 2025, at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston. She was the wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Zolnierz. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Ettore and Angelina (D’Andrea) Pescosolido.

She worked in the family business at Bradford Variety for many years before retiring.

Angela leaves five grandchildren, Stephen Purro, Allegra Purro, Ariana Prew, Catherine and Benjamin Crete, three great-grandchildren Hazel Prew, Leo and Jack Purro. She was the mother of the late Larry L. Crete and Denise Purro, sister of the late Oreste, Philip “Charlie”, Armando, Louis, Bernardo “Bennie” Pescosolido and the late Theresa Centazzo.

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning, December 11, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. in the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St Augustine Church 639 Mount Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
