Albert L. Gelsomino

April 4, 1941 — April 18, 2017

ALBERT, L. GELSOMINO, 76, of Providence, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Roger Williams Medical Center.  He was the beloved husband of the late Linda Mae (Cioci) Gelsomino, and father of the late Albert L. Gelsomino, Jr.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Jennie (DiSarro) Gelsomino.   Albert was a postal worker at the Turnkey Post Office in Providence for 35 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He loved to cook, especially making pizza for his son and grandchildren.   He is survived by his son, Steven L. Gelsomino and his wife Monique; four brothers, Carmine, Domenic, John and Raymond Gelsomino; two sisters, Marie and Theresa Gelsomino, and two beloved grandsons, Steven "Max" and Jake Gelsomino and  his longtime companion, Sandra La Belle. He was the brother of the late Antonio, James and Joseph Gelsomino, Concetta Calise, Carmella Morgan, Anna Martinelli and Barbara Forte..   His funeral will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 9 a.m. from the Maceroni Funeral Home, 1381 Smith St., North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, Atwells Ave., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m.
